Job summary

Collective Manufacturing Group LLC is seeking a CNC Milling Machinist to set up and operate CNC Mill machines for aerospace components in a high‑precision shop.

The ideal candidate will read blueprints, adjust machining parameters, inspect parts with precision tools, and maintain detailed production records in line with AS9100 standards. This role requires commitment to safety and quality in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Three to five years’ experience running CNC Mill Machines.
  • High School diploma or equivalent, with demonstrated math skills for shop calculations.
  • Demonstrate training ability and be able to support internal customer needs.
  • Accurately read engineering prints.
  • Lift up to 35 pounds and stand for an eight‑hour shift.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality, safety, and communication and be a team player.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC Mill machines, including tooling, work holding, offsets and program validation, to perform operations on aerospace parts and components.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, process sheets, and work instructions.
  • Adjust feeds, speeds, tool paths and offsets to achieve optimal machining performance and surface finish.
  • Calculate dimensions, tolerances, and machine parameters to achieve required part specifications.
  • Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other precision measuring instruments to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Maintain accurate production and inspection records in accordance with company and aerospace quality system requirements (AS9100).
  • Monitor machine operation and adjust as necessary to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and keep work area clean, organized, and safe.
  • Report nonconformances, tool wear conditions and process variations according to quality standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve machining issues and improve processes.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
