Job summary

BARNES is seeking a skilled machinist to set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and grinders across production stages. You will use calibrated tools to verify tolerances and ensure parts meet customer specifications, while completing required paperwork.

You'll collaborate with toolmakers, engineers, program managers and quality personnel to resolve issues, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality in daily operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years machinist experience required.
• Aerospace experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T.
• Troubleshoot machining problems.
• Willingness to learn new skills.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Read and follow instructions and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, grinders and other equipment.
• Use calibrated tools to verify tolerances and ensure parts meet specs.
• Complete required paperwork and checklists.
