Job summary

Aerotek in Clackamas, Oregon is seeking a CNC Machine Operator to run milling machines in a fast-paced production environment, load/unload materials, and ensure parts meet tight tolerances using calipers and micrometers.

You will read work instructions, inspect parts, document results, and maintain a safe, organized shop floor. Experience with Fanuc controls and reading blueprints is preferred; this onsite contract-to-hire role offers competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• This role requires CNC milling experience or similar equipment.
• Ability to read basic blueprints, drawings, or inspection specs.
• Proficiency with calipers and micrometers for part verification.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC milling machines to manufacture precision parts per instructions and schedules.
• Load raw materials and unload finished parts safely and efficiently.
• Perform in-process and final inspections using calipers, micrometers and other tools.
• Read and follow work instructions, inspection requirements, and production schedules.
• Monitor machine operation and report any quality or equipment issues.
• Make basic offset adjustments when trained to maintain accuracy.
• Complete production and quality documentation including inspection records.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area; follow ISO 9001 procedures.
• Collaborate with team members and support continuous improvement.
