Job summary

Opti Staffing is partnering with a precision manufacturing company in NE Portland who is seeking a CNC Mill Operator. This role is ideal for someone with CNC Mill experience and a willingness to advance their CNC skills over time.

You will load parts, run CNC mills, monitor operations, perform setups, and inspect parts using calipers and micrometers. Day or swing shifts are available on a full-time basis.

Qualifications

• Previous CNC Mill Machining / Operating experience.
• Ability to read basic blueprints and machining specifications.
• Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.

Responsibilities

CNC Mill Operator Location: NE Portland, OR Pay: $19+/hr DOE Schedule: Full-Time — Day or Swing Shift

About the Job

Opti Staffing is partnering with a well-established precision manufacturing company in NE Portland that is looking for a CNC Mill Operator to join their production team. This is a great opportunity for a new graduate from a MHCC, CCC or PCC Machining Program! This is a great opportunity for someone with CNC Mill machining experience who is comfortable loading and operating machines, inspecting parts, and keeping production running efficiently. This is primarily an operator/button-pusher position, with opportunities to develop additional CNC skills over time.

What You'll Do

• Operate CNC Mills during production runs
• Load and unload materials and finished parts
• Start machines and monitor operations
• Perform basic machine adjustments and set up
• Change tooling as required
• Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools
• Read basic blueprints, work instructions, and job travelers
• Identify quality issues and notify the appropriate team members
• Keep machines and work areas clean, organized, and safe
• Work with the production and quality teams to meet daily goals

What We're Looking For

• Previous CNC Mill Machining / Operating experience
• Experience operating CNC mills
• Ability to read basic blueprints and machining specifications
• Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
• Basic understanding of machining and quality standards
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Reliable attendance and a good work ethic

Preferred Experience

• CNC Mill experience
• Previous experience in a production or job shop environment
• Familiarity with machine offsets and basic program edits
• Basic knowledge of G-code or conversational programming
• Experience working with tight-tolerance parts
