Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 1–2 years related experience or training.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and tolerances.
• Ability to read basic measuring tools (calipers, micrometers).
• Previous CNC programming and setup experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate conventional, special purpose, and CNC machines to fabricate metallic parts.
• Study blueprints and specs to determine dimensions, tolerances, sequence, and setups.
• Program or select program to create parts per blueprint, setting up tools and materials.
• Measure and mark dimensions as guides for machining.
• Load, align, and secure fixtures, tooling, and materials on machines.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspection per blueprint using calipers/micrometers.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machines; operate manual equipment as assigned.
