Job summary

Axius Group LLC is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up and operate multi-axis CNC machines for high-precision aerospace components. You will work from complex blueprints, CAD models, and GD&T specifications to ensure parts meet exact tolerances.

Responsibilities include selecting tooling, optimizing speeds/feeds, conducting first article inspections, and collaborating with engineering and quality teams on process improvements. Experience with Mastercam/CATIA/Siemens NX is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent; 3–5 years CNC machining experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines to manufacture aerospace components according to engineering drawings and specs.
• Interpret complex blueprints and CAD models to determine tooling, operations, and part dimensions.
• Select cutting tools, speeds, and feeds to optimize efficiency and precision.
• Perform first article inspections (FAI) and in-process quality checks.
• Troubleshoot toolings/Setup issues to minimize downtime and maintain tight tolerances.
• Document setup procedures, part dimensions, and tooling usage for repeatability.
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration on CNC machines.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams for process improvements.
