Axius Group is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up, program (if required), and operate CNC machines per engineering drawings and CAD models for high-precision aircraft components.

You will interpret complex blueprints, select tooling and parameters, and perform first article inspections and continuous quality checks to ensure adherence to specs. Collaboration with engineering and QA is essential to optimize processes and maintain aerospace standards.

Qualifications

  • Blueprints, CAD models, and drawings used to determine machining operations.
  • GD&T and material properties knowledge required for aircraft components.
  • Experience with aerospace materials and precision inspection methods.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, program (if required), and operate CNC machines per drawings.
  • Interpret blueprints and CAD models to plan tooling and dimensions.
  • Select cutting tools, speeds, feeds for efficient, precise machining.
  • Perform first article inspections and in-process quality checks.
  • Troubleshoot tooling and setups to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain tight tolerances and adjust offsets as needed.
  • Document setups, dimensions, and tool usage for repeatability.
  • Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines.
