Job summary

Axius Group, LLC is seeking an experienced NC Programmer to develop and optimize machine control programs for aerospace components. You will create tool paths from CAD models and engineering specs to ensure precision and efficient machining.

Work closely with engineering, quality and manufacturing teams to meet aerospace standards, maintain documentation, and continually improve processes and part quality.

Qualifications

• Experience developing NC programs for CNC machines using CAD models and engineering specs.
• Proficient in CAM software and G-code programming.
• Knowledge of aerospace quality standards and processes.
• Ability to collaborate with design, engineering, quality and manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities

• Create, test, and optimize NC programs for CNC machines based on CAD models and specs.
• Develop efficient tool paths for milling, turning, and other operations.
• Assist with tooling selection, fixtures, and machine parameter setup.
• Identify and resolve programming issues during production to improve performance.
• Work with design engineers, machinists and quality teams to meet requirements.
• Continuously improve machining processes and part quality by refining NC programs.
• Maintain detailed records of NC programs, tool lists and setup sheets.
