Job summary

The Axius Group is seeking a Machinist to set up and operate CNC and conventional equipment, milling, drilling, and finishing parts to exact specifications. You will read blueprints and documents, control programs at the machine, and verify conformance with precision measuring tools.

Responsibilities include maintaining quality, reducing scrap, and supporting safe production. Candidates should have relevant machining experience and the ability to train others as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; machining experience preferred.
• Read blueprints, MSDS/engineering docs, and SPC data as needed.
• Proficient in setup of CNC and conventional machines and tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC machines and conventional equipment.
• Mill, drill, bore, ream, and finish parts to spec from various materials.
• Read and follow engineering orders, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Control CNC programs at the machine and verify work with measuring tools.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized work area and report issues.
