Job summary

Axius Group LLC is seeking a CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC machines for high-precision aerospace components. You will read engineering drawings, select tools, and optimize speeds and feeds to meet tight tolerances.

The role involves performing first article inspections, in-process quality checks, and collaborating with engineering and quality teams to improve processes and reduce downtime.

Qualifications

• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T skills with a focus on aerospace specs.
• Experience with FAI and in-process quality checks on complex parts.
• Knowledge of aerospace materials such as titanium and aluminum.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program (if required), and operate CNC machines per drawings and specs.
• Interpret blueprints/CAD models to determine tooling and dimensions.
• Perform first article inspections and in-process QC on parts.
• Troubleshoot tooling or setup issues to minimize downtime.
• Document setups and tool usage for repeatability.
