Eaton’s IS AER FED division in Rumford, RI is seeking a Machinist on 2nd shift to set up and run CNC and manual machines, delivering precision components to tight tolerances. The role includes in-process inspections, tooling modifications, and collaboration on process improvements.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years in CNC turning or milling, a Machinist or Tool & Die program or equivalent experience, and is comfortable working in a union environment with a 3 pm–11 pm schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalence.
• Completion of a Machinist or Tool & Die program or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of CNC turning or milling experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Okuma CNC lathes and other equipment.
• Set up and operate conventional and programmable CMMs.
• Operate ovens and freezer to heat treat and stabilize components.
• Inspect parts using micrometers, dial indicators, and related gauges.
• Read blueprints and setup sheets to produce parts within tight tolerances.
