Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a CNC Machinist in Reading, PA. This permanent, fully onsite role operates on 1st shift from 6:00am to 4:00pm (Mon-Thu), with a pay rate of $25.00–$35.00 per hour and potential overtime based on skills.

The environment is clean and climate controlled, with opportunities for growth within the company. Responsibilities include setting up and operating CNC mills, lathes, and surface grinders, creating CNC programs, and performing first article and in-process inspections.

Qualifications

• Proficient in CNC machining and programming.
• Ability to read blueprints and set up machines.
• Knowledge of G&M codes and precision inspection.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and surface grinders.
• Create and edit CNC programs for high-precision parts.
• Identify improvements to reduce waste and optimize cycle times.
• Collaborate with supervisors to ensure timely completion of jobs.
• Perform first article and in-process inspections and adjust programs as needed.
• Log job details and time with available software.
• Support safety, 5S, and quality standards.
