Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a 1st Shift CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC lathes like NL2500 and DMG-Mori NLX3000 in a high-mix, low-volume aerospace environment. You will read blueprints, perform tool setup, and ensure precision through inspection and process adjustments.

You will collaborate with supervisors and peers to resolve machining issues, maintain quality standards, and support project-based work on a Monday–Friday shift.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as CNC machinist or completed CNC apprenticeship.
• Proficiency with NL2500 and DMG-Mori NLX3000 or similar machines.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret planning sheets.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and general machine tools.
• Read blueprints and use work instructions to plan runs.
• Adjust controls for depth, speed, feed, and coolant.
• Inspect parts with calipers, micrometers, height gauges and indicators.
• Troubleshoot issues and maintain a clean, safe work area.
