Job summary

Torrey Holistics in Solon, OH seeks an experienced CNC Machinist for setup and operation of CNC lathes and mills. You will read blueprints, input G-code, and ensure tight tolerances on high-value components.

Expect to perform tool offsets, routine maintenance, and collaborate with teammates to resolve machining issues on a full-time, in-person basis. Qualified candidates have 5+ years in CNC machining, own tools, and strong GD&T and math skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in setup and operation of CNC machines.
• Must have own tools.
• G-Code knowledge & CAD/CAM.
• Demonstrated ability to read blueprints and understand drawing features.
• Full understanding of tool offsets.
• Ability to follow written instructions and procedures.
• Problem solving & math skills.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints to set up and operate CNC machines efficiently.
• Utilize CNC programming knowledge to input commands and adjust settings as needed.
• Perform regular maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to verify part dimensions.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve any machining issues promptly.
• Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards to produce accurate and high-quality machined parts.

CNC Lathe & Mill, Setup and MachinistHighly EXPERIENCED large part machinist. Fanuc & Mazak control experience as well as full working knowledge of modern CNC turning centers, steady rest, tail stock and G-code is required. The qualified candidates will be primarily responsible for setup and running turning machines and machining centers (2 to 5 axis). Knowledge of tooling and basic program troubleshooting is also required. Our primary business is large, high value, low volume (1 to 10 pieces) precision machined components.We are a well established contract machine shop founded in 1945.Wage based on experience and proven skills, benefits package including health insurance, 401k, bonus and paid vacations.Requirements1.
