Job summary

Allways Precision in Plainfield, IL seeks an experienced CNC Machinist to operate CNC mills and lathes, holding tight tolerances and inspecting parts with precision instruments.

You will assemble machine segments, set up production runs, and leverage CAM/CAD software (BobCAD, AutoCAD, DraftSight, SolidWorks CAM) to program tools. Surface grinding experience and GD&T knowledge are a plus.

Qualifications

• High mechanical aptitude with ability to hold tight tolerances.
• Inspect parts to tolerance and perform mechanical assembly.
• Experience with multi-axis CNC equipment and CAM/CAD software.
• Proficient with precision measurement tools and shop math.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC mills and lathes to produce parts from diverse materials.
• Maintain tight tolerances and inspect parts using precision instruments.

• Set up machines for production runs and troubleshoot as needed.

CNC MachinistAllways Precision has an excellent career opportunity for a CNC Machinist. We are looking for a skilled and dedicated CNC Machinist to join our talented growing team. We are a machine tool remanufacturer and our machined parts supply internal use in machine building. Runs could be single piece to 20 pieces in general. Milling or turning a variety of materials. Some surface grinding knowlege is also beneficial.QualificationsThe right candidate will have a high mechanical aptitude and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with skills in the following areas:Capability to hold tight tolerances +/-.002 (down to 0.0002”).
