Job summary

Methode Electronics is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist for the second shift in the United States. You will perform set-ups, operations, and minor maintenance on machining centers, and you must hold 5+ years of experience with CNC or manual equipment.

You will read blueprints including GD&T, use precision gauges, and ensure product quality. Work requires English proficiency and adherence to safety standards in a 5S environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of experience setting up and operating CNC and/or manual machining equipment.
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints or drawings, including GD&T.
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges).
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Perform machine set-up/changeover on CNC and/or manual mills, lathes, and drill presses to produce the required product or components by making offset adjustments to meet product specifications.
• Perform first time set-up of equipment for new products through programming, tool setting, and offset adjustments.
• Perform manual production operations as required, e.g., load and unload parts, deburr and clean if necessary.
• Visually and dimensionally inspect machined parts using precision measuring instruments to verify proper workmanship standards are being met.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance activities in accordance with machine operation manual or machine maintenance work instructions.
• Maintain neat and orderly work areas and comply with all safety rules.
