Best Metal Products, a Michigan-based precision manufacturer, seeks a skilled CNC Machinist for our second shift. You will set up and operate Hurco and Mazak lathes to produce high-precision components per blueprints and CAD drawings.

Expect tight tolerances, meticulous measurement, and ongoing maintenance of tooling and fixtures. We offer a strong benefits package including health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) with profit sharing, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• 4+ years setting up and programming lathes, preferably Hurco.
• Machining metal parts with tolerances as tight as ±0.002 in (0.0005 in).
• Strong basic math skills and attention to detail.

Responsabilités

• Read blueprints and CAD drawings to interpret requirements.
• Set up, program, and operate Hurco and Mazak lathes.
• Use micrometers, calipers, and depth gauges to verify tolerances.
• Detect and report defective materials.
• Perform PM checks and coolant/filter changes.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and equipment.
• Assist in other areas as needed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
