Job summary

Laborup in Concord, NH is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to produce precision components on Doosan and Mori Seiki lathes.

You'll work from engineering drawings, set up machines, perform tool changes, monitor quality, and record production data in the E-2 system. Strong measuring skills with micrometers and calipers are required.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC lathes in a manufacturing or machine shop.
• Ability to read mechanical blueprints and dimensional tolerances.
• Experience using precision measuring tools, including micrometers and calipers.
• Understanding of CNC turning processes, cutting tools, tooling offsets, and machining fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC lathes to manufacture precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, machining instructions, and job travelers.
• Utilize CNC programs, cutting tools, fixtures, and established machining processes to complete production work.
• Monitor CNC turning operations and make adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy and part quality.
• Inspect machined components using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Perform tooling changes, offset adjustments, and basic machining troubleshooting as needed.
• Identify machining or quality issues and communicate concerns to supervisors and quality personnel.
• Record production quantities, setup times, run times, scrap, and rework through the company's E-2 manufacturing system.
