Job summary

Q, LLC in Dover, NH is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist - Lathe (Day Shift) to join the manufacturing team. You will set up, program, troubleshoot, and inspect components produced on CNC lathes, ensuring adherence to engineering drawings and quality standards.

Work closely with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality to maintain safe, efficient production. Strong CAD/CAM experience (CamWorks/Mastercam) and proficiency with FANUC controls are required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
3-5 years CNC lathe setup, operation, programming, and troubleshooting.
Proficiency with FANUC CNC controls.
Experience with CAD/CAM software such as CamWorks, Mastercam, or equivalent.
Strong understanding of GD&T and reading engineering drawings.
Experience using precision measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
Able to independently set up and operate CNC lathe equipment.
Fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment experience.
Commitment to safety, organization, and quality.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC lathes to manufacture precision components.
Develop, edit, and maintain CNC programs using CAD/CAM software such as CamWorks, Mastercam, or similar.
Set up and prove out new or revised programs for accuracy and efficiency.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, work instructions, and GD&T.
Perform in-process and first-piece inspections using appropriate measuring equipment.
Maintain documentation including CNC programs, tooling information, and setup sheets.
Identify and troubleshoot machining, tooling, setup, and quality issues.
Support with fixture/workholding improvements to boost machining efficiency.
