Job summary

Bausch + Stroebel Machine Company, Inc. in Branford, CT is seeking a skilled machinist to operate ProtoTrak lathe machines on the second shift. You will read blueprints, set up equipment, and produce precision parts to engineering specifications.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of lathe experience, a High School diploma or GED, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Overtime opportunities are available; relocation is not offered.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of machining experience
• US citizen or permanent resident
• High school graduate or GED; vocational training preferred

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain ProtoTrak lathe machines per drawings and quality standards.
• Read and interpret prints; verify dimensions with precision instruments.
• Review production status and complete orders; punch jobs in ERP.
• Perform own setups and follow job checklists; ensure safety and quality.
• Maintain shop equipment through basic preventative maintenance.
• Promote customer focus and teamwork in a manufacturing environment.
