Job summary

Tri-Mack Plastics in Bristol, Rhode Island, seeks an Experienced CNC Machinist for the 2nd shift to produce tight tolerance plastic and metal parts using pre-loaded programs and tooling. You will operate multiple machines, perform set-ups as needed, and maintain quality through careful measurement and documentation.

The role requires at least 2 years of CNC milling/lathe experience, blueprints and GD&T knowledge, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience on CNC milling and/or lathe machines.
Experience in set-up or program edits preferred.
Understanding of blueprints and GD&T encouraged.

Responsibilities

Operate CNC machines to tight tolerances and specifications; may run more than one machine at a time.
Identify critical dimensions and independently measure parts with minimal guidance.
Complete all documentation accurately each shift.
Troubleshoot problems. Identify dull tools and inserts for static tooling and replace as necessary.
Make offsets involving multiple datum systems.
Verify raw material documentation and match picklists to maintain lot traceability.
Execute and document preventative maintenance tasks per relevant work instructions.
Keep work station clean and organized.
Actively pursue opportunities to develop new skills within the department and across departmental lines.
Work in a manner that ensures your own safety and the safety of your co-workers, always use correct PPE, and never run a machine without proper guarding.
