Job summary

Woodward is seeking a skilled machinist for 1st shift in Fort Collins, CO. You will set up and operate CNC and manual machines to produce precision metal parts per specifications, and perform supporting tasks while following established procedures.

You will read engineering drawings, apply GD&T, and conduct first-piece inspections. Emphasis on lean practices, 5S, safety, and teamwork to achieve high-quality outcomes on a 10-hour shift (Mon-Thu, start 5am).

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC or manual machining equipment.
• Ability to read engineering blueprints and GD&T.
• Proficient with inspection gauges and hand/power tools.
• Strong teamwork and communication.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC or manual machines to produce precision metal parts.
• Perform supporting operations and follow procedures.
• Conduct 1st piece inspections and train others if needed.
• Interpret drawings and GD&T; maintain quality and records.
• Apply 5S and drive workstation organization; support continuous improvement.
• Follow safety protocols.
