Job summary

Woodward is seeking a Machinist for 1st shift (Mon–Thu, 5am start, 10 hours). You will set up and operate CNC and manual machines to produce precision metal parts, perform inspections, and follow SOPs to ensure quality. Emphasis on lean practices, teamwork, and safety in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role requires strong Blueprint reading and GD&T skills, with opportunities for ongoing training and career growth within Woodward’s energy control solutions group.

Qualifications

• Operating CNC and manual machines (lathes, mills, Swiss, grinders).
• Able to interpret engineering drawings and perform basic GD&T checks.
• Maintain quality by using inspection gauges and following SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate multiple CNC or manual machines to produce precision parts.
• Perform supporting operations and 1st piece inspections as needed.
• Follow detailed work instructions to maintain efficiency and accuracy.
• Adhere to safety and 5S standards and participate in continuous improvement.
