Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, California is seeking a CMM Programmer (Valves) for the 2nd shift. You will perform precision inspection on mechanical parts, assemblies and materials using PC-DMIS with Romer Arm and DCC CMMs, and interpret GD&T per engineering drawings.

You will create and maintain inspection programs, collaborate with Quality, Engineering and Manufacturing to improve processes, design part inspection plans, and ensure compliance with ISO 9001.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision inspection (CMM or surface plate) verification on mechanical parts, components, assemblies and materials.
• Understand GD&T requirements as applied to the engineering drawing and drawing notes.
• Create, maintain, verify, retain, sort and organize all programs created to ensure they are readily available and saved to the current revision.
• Work with cross functional teams to continuously improve processes and specifications that govern precision inspection.
