SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer (Starship Components) to join the 2nd shift. You will develop complex multi-axis programs using CAM for Okuma lathe/mill operations and mentor junior programmers while driving process improvements.

You will collaborate with engineering to optimize drawings, inspect parts, and ensure high-quality manufacturing. The role demands 5+ years CNC machining and 2+ years programming experience on rigorous aerospace parts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years CNC machining experience.
• 2+ years CNC programming experience.
• Experience with multi-axis machining.
• Ability to read GD&T and blueprints accurately.

Responsibilities

• Program and generate G-Code for Okuma mill-turn lathes and mills.
• Develop tooling and process setup sheets for new parts.
• Set up, prove out, and run programs, troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Contribute to CAM database development for efficient part programming.
• Review quality concerns and perform root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with engineering to implement drawing changes.
• Mentor junior programmers and share best practices.
