Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA is seeking a Quality Inspector (Valves) for the 2nd shift to join the mission‑critical Quality Inspection team responsible for valve hardware for Dragon and Falcon programs. You will perform in‑process and end‑of‑line inspections from detailed drawings and CAD models, document anomalies, and support root cause analysis with engineering.

This role requires lifting up to 25 lbs, willingness to work overtime, and adherence to cleanroom PPE; competitive pay and comprehensive

Qualifications

2+ years of inspection experience in aerospace, military or manufacturing
Experience with aerospace standards
Experience using calibrated inspection tools
Experience assembling and testing manufactured hardware
Experience with QA principles, methods, and processes
MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
Windows operating systems
AS9100 and ISO 9001 experience

Responsibilities

Provide detailed in-process inspections on flight hardware using drawings, CAD models, and processes
Document production and test anomalies in accordance with procedures
Communicate and help resolve quality issues across sites
Process non-conforming product and assist root cause analysis
Observe operations and act as technical resource
Evaluate compliance to NASA, customer and internal specs for launch
Support quality management system policies and lean initiatives
Perform related duties to ensure efficient and effective work environment
