Job summary

Hutchinson Autopartes de Mexico SA.DE CV is seeking a quality measurement engineer with an Associate's degree in mechanical engineering technology and at least two years of related experience. You will prepare, measure, report on projects, assist PPAP, and collaborate with Product Engineering on prototypes and molds.

The role requires strong attention to detail, GPIO tolerances, SPC, and gage control knowledge within a manufacturing setting. Must be able to communicate across teams.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in mechanical engineering technology or equivalent; and two years related experience in theory and application of complex layout and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have good interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with Quality, Continuous Process Improvement, Product engineering, and other plant and office personnel.
• Must understand how to prepare, measure, organize, record and report on projects being measured in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, measure, organize, record and report on projects being measured.
• Assist in preparing PPAP for customer approval.
• Assist Product Engineering in evaluating prototype metals and molded parts.
• Communicate with suppliers on dimensional characteristics which are showing trends of instability.
• Support tool room on measurements of all molds or cavities, which have been reworked or modified in any manner.
• Support production by measuring and preparing ongoing capability studies on current production parts.
• Measure and prepare written reports on all new samples received from our suppliers.
• Other duties as assigned.
