Job summary

Hutchinson in Grand Rapids, MI is looking for a meticulous engineering technician to support quality and product engineering. You will prepare and measure projects, assist with PPAPs, and evaluate prototype metals and molded parts to ensure dimensional stability.

The role requires an associate degree in mechanical engineering technology and about two years of related experience, with strong communication and basic computer skills. Occasional site collaboration and data reporting are expected.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in mechanical engineering technology or equivalent, plus two years related experience.
• Must understand geometric tolerances, SPC, SAE handbook usage, gage control programs, and quality control procedures.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, measure, organize, record and report on projects.
• Assist in preparing PPAP for customer approval.
• Assist Product Engineering in the evaluation of prototype metals and molded parts.
• Communicate with suppliers on dimensional characteristics showing instability.
