Job summary

Copeland, a global climate technologies company, seeks a Centrifugal Assembler at our Rushville, Indiana location to manufacture and qualify compressors for commercial HVAC systems.

You will read engineering drawings, assemble/disassemble mechanical and electrical components, inspect parts for defects, and operate assembly robots and testing equipment while following safety guidelines. Work schedule Fri-Sun, 5:00am–5:30pm; must read drawings and use precision gauges.

Qualifications

• Must have coordination and manual dexterity to work with fine movements.
• Experience using inspection gauges (calipers, micrometers, indicators, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex drawings/specifications.
• Proactive problem solver, willing to learn and take on challenges.
• Personal computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and disassemble mechanical and electrical components per drawings and specifications.
• Inspect parts and assemblies, identify defects, and ensure quality standards.
• Use measuring devices and assembly/testing equipment to meet specifications.
• Operate tools, power tools, torque wrenches, and automated equipment.
• Move products around the work cell using lifts and overhead hoists.
• Follow safety procedures and keep work areas organized and clean.
• Read part detail drawings and determine dimensions, tolerances, and sequence of operations.
• Operate assembly robot and perform other duties as needed.
