Job summary

Copeland Corporation LLC in Rushville, IN, is seeking a Centrifugal Assembler to partner with engineering teams to manufacture and qualify compressors for commercial air conditioning systems. You will focus on precision assembly, quality inspection, and safe operation of equipment in a fast-paced production cell.

Ideal candidates bring strong attention to detail, experience with precision gauges, and the ability to read drawings and follow specifications.

Qualifications

• Experience reading mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Proficient with inspection gauges and measurement devices.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and procedures.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States – sponsorship not provided.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and/or disassemble mechanical and electrical components using precision tools and engineering drawings (QII/Work Instructions).
• Inspect parts and completed assemblies for defects, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
• Use measuring devices and operate electro‑mechanical assembly and testing equipment to meet required specifications.
• Operate assembly tools and machines such as power tools, torque wrenches, and automated equipment.
• Utilize lifts, overhead hoists, and motorized wheeled equipment to move products around the work cell as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
• Keep tools, equipment, and all assembly work areas organized and clean daily.
• Read part detail and assembly drawings, manuals, and specifications to determine dimensions, tolerances, and sequence of operations.
• Operate assembly robot.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Comply with all OSHA standards, safety regulations, and company processes and procedures.
