Job summary

Qualifications

• High school GED or equivalent required.
• Trade school/BOCES in Machining Fundamentals completed.
• BOCES training or equivalent in progressive Machine Shop assignments.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate the manual boring mill to bore, turn, and face castings, forging, jigs and fixtures.
• Adjust feeds, speeds, cut depth, and tool selection per job requirements.
• Perform in-process inspection with various measuring tools and indicators.
• Follow blueprints and work instructions; provide guidance to assigned helpers.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and comply with safety policies.
