Job summary

Timken Company in Mascot, TN is seeking a hands-on manufacturing associate to prepare components for inspection by disassembling bearings with a hydraulic press and using hand tools. You will operate washers and shot blasting equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and participate in lean initiatives while maintaining a safe, clean work area.

Training and qualification progression are provided. This full-time role requires good math and reading, solid communication, and the ability to work

Qualifications

  • Must demonstrate math and reading proficiency.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Completion of training program and qualification requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Disassemble roller bearings using hydraulic press and hand tools.
  • Sort components and load wash racks.
  • Operate washer and maintain wash water chemistry.
  • Load and unload components for shot blasting; maintain settings.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and replace wear parts.
  • Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives to improve processes.
  • Document manufacturing performance issues and communicate across shifts.
  • Coach and train new associates and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
  • Follow safety rules and contribute to continuous improvement projects.
