Qualifications

• Verify conformance of bearing components (cones) through visual and dimensional inspection.
• Accept or reject parts according to industry and customer specifications.
• Perform minor repairs including buffing, de-burring, and grinding.
• Maintain equipment and work stations through daily housekeeping and preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Uses a master to set up the gauge block to properly measure the roller value.
• Determines the acceptability of roller sets based on measured values.
• Scraps non-conforming rollers found during inspection.
• Sets up closing press by changing dies per order specifications.
• Aligns work piece against fixtures under ram as specified.
• Loads full cone assembly into closing press and operates to close cage.
• Visually inspects rollers under magnification for conformance to specs.
• Indicates acceptability of rollers with marking pen.
