Job summary

Tandem Foods is expanding operations at our Omega facility with the launch of our new SL6 production line. We are hiring a Kitchen Operator to safely and efficiently operate batch mixers, kettles, and other kitchen equipment while maximizing uptime and minimizing scrap.

You will maintain GMP and BRC food safety standards, perform sanitation, and support daily production activities on three shifts. The role requires English proficiency, basic math, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with

Qualifications

• HS diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Good command of English (written and verbal).
• Basic math for weighing ingredients.
• Knowledge of manufacturing safety practices (LOTO, PPE, machine guarding).
• Ability to stand up to eight hours.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to work Saturdays/Sundays as production needs.
• Ability to work in close proximity to others in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate batch mixers, kettles, and other kitchen equipment.
• Maximize equipment uptime while minimizing scrap and interruptions.
• Weigh and prepare dry ingredients accurately.
• Shovel product, fill and transport buckets, and move ingredients.
• Perform routine product spot checks for quality compliance.
• Follow GMPs and BRC food safety requirements.
• Sanitize equipment and perform routine cleaning and maintenance.
• Follow LOTO, PPE and machine guarding procedures and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
• Communicate equipment concerns and production issues to leads and management.
