Atterro in Santa Fe Springs, CA is seeking a Saw Operator to join a manufacturing team on first shift. The role involves setting up and operating band saws to cut metal, reading blueprints, and maintaining quality standards.

You'll work from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with training 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and enjoy competitive pay of $22 per hour plus benefits. The ideal candidate has at least one year in metal cutting and a focus on safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; trade/voc training a plus.
• Minimum 1 year experience operating band saws or cutting equipment in a machine shop environment.
• Familiarity with common metals and alloys used in machining.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate band saws to cut metal materials.
• Read and interpret job travelers, blueprints, cut lists and drawings.
• Measure and mark materials with calipers, micrometers, etc.
• Select blades based on material type and thickness.
• Monitor saw performance and adjust feeds, blade tension, and angles.
