Job summary

Staffmark Group in Santa Fe Springs, CA is seeking a Saw Operator to set up and run metal-cutting band saws, cutting ATR and round bar to precise specs. You’ll read blueprints, select blades, and inspect finished parts.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, basic math skills, and experience with band saws; forklift experience is a plus. This on-site role offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; basic math for measurements.
• Experience operating metal-cutting band saws (DoAll or similar).
• Ability to read work orders, blueprints and specs.
• Forklift certification or material handling experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate metal-cutting band saws to cut ATR and round bar to specs.
• Select blades, adjust settings, and monitor cutting performance.
• Measure and inspect finished materials using calipers and tapes.
• Bundle, label, and stage products for downstream processes.
• Perform routine maintenance: blade changes, coolant checks, basic troubleshooting.
• Verify cut lengths and ensure materials meet blueprint specs.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in line with OSHA and LO/TO.
