Job summary

Badger Meter is seeking an Assembler II to assemble parts per Work Instructions and Drawings. The role may rotate through the facility across various assembly tasks, requiring use of hand, powered tools, saws, and engraving equipment to meet customer specifications.

You will participate in safety and quality initiatives, train colleagues, and help maintain 5S/Lean practices in a manufacturing environment. A High School diploma and 3+ years in assembly are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Degree/GED Preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in assembly/manufacturing desired.
• Understand gluing and centering to specific tolerances across multiple areas/products.
• If applicable, ability to use function generators and multimeter test equipment.
• Basic proficiency with computers including an ERP system and Microsoft Office required.

Responsibilities

• Use basic hand, battery, electric and pneumatic powered tools to complete assemblies.
• Use circular saws and deburring tools to complete modified assemblies (Utility and Flow Only).
• Use laser etcher, dot peen etcher and engraver to complete modified assemblies to customer specifications.
• Calibrategas to test sensors (Analytical Technologies Only).
• Use basic printing programs to complete customer orders and make adjustments as needed.
• Use Production system to record day-to-day customer order activity and view work instructions.
• Navigate through LX screens to identify Inventory requirements and status.
• Take initiative to ensure priority items are completed and seek information from lead or Supervisor.
• Participate in Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost continuous improvement efforts.
• Train others in the department.
• Perform basic 5S and Lean concepts to maintain a clean, safe workplace.
