Job summary

Badger Meter is seeking an Assembler II in Racine, WI to build and assemble components per work instructions and drawings. You will operate a variety of hand and power tools, participate in continuous improvement, and support lean 5S in a manufacturing setting.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of assembly/manufacturing experience, basic computer skills (ERP and MS Office), and a keen eye for quality and safety. This is a full-time, on-site role with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Understand gluing and centering to tight tolerances across multiple areas/products.
• Ability to use function generators and multimeter test equipment.
• Basic proficiency with computers including an ERP system and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts using hand, battery, electric, and pneumatic tools.
• Operate saws and deburring tools for modified assemblies.
• Use laser/dot peen engravers for customer-specific work.
• Record day-to-day customer order activity in Production system.
• Identify inventory requirements and adjust using LX screens.
• Support safety, quality, delivery and cost improvement efforts.
• Train others in the department.
• Maintain 5S and Lean housekeeping.
