Job summary

Oshkosh Defense, an Oshkosh Corporation company, seeks an assembler to install and assemble major and minor subassemblies including engine and transmission assemblies, radiators, axles and hydraulic systems. You may also install hitches, bodies, graders or other equipment as required.

Essential duties include cutting, fitting, drilling holes, measuring paths, and starting engines to verify function. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and basic arithmetic and measuring

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preference for basic arithmetic and measuring tool use (caliper, scale).

Responsibilities

• Cut, fit, bend and adjust parts for fit or function as directed.
• Drill, ream or tap holes for mounting or clearance as directed.
• Measure wire, tubing or hose paths and cut tubing to length as directed.
• Fill batteries and accessory grease points as directed.
• Start up engine, check dashboard instruments for proper function.
• Assemblies weights up to 10,000 lbs. with appropriate handling equipment.
