Job summary

Hillenbrand is seeking an Assembly Operator II to perform hands-on manufacturing, assembly, electrical, machining, maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and production-support activities at our Wytheville facility. You will operate equipment, assemble components, and ensure quality while maintaining safe, efficient production lines.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to read technical drawings and specifications.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• Strong attention to detail, safety, quality, reliability, and teamwork.
• Ability to read technical drawings, work instructions, electrical diagrams, and specifications.
• Mechanical, electrical, machining, or manufacturing knowledge gained through training or experience.
• Advanced electrical knowledge including wiring, testing and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate assembly, manufacturing, manual and CNC equipment.
• Assemble, install, align, adjust, and inspect components and finished products.
• Perform electrical installation, wiring, testing, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Perform machining operations such as drilling, milling, turning, cutting, grinding, deburring, and finishing.
• Read work instructions, drawings, specifications, schematics, and machining requirements.
• Maintain accurate production, inspection, maintenance, and repair records.
• Support production schedules and cross-functional teamwork.
