Job summary

SIG SAUER, Inc. is seeking a manufacturing assembler to perform mechanical, optical, and electronic assembly in a fast-paced setting. Candidates should handle pneumatic tools and fine fastener work with strong attention to detail. Reading and following detailed instructions, plus basic soldering, are required.

Shifts vary (8/10/12 hours); standing for most of the shift and potential exposure to a manufacturing environment are included. Prior experience with optics and ERP systems is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or related experience and/or training.
• Optical mechanical assembly preferred.
• Optics handling and cleaning a plus.
• Ability to solder; soldering certifications a plus.
• English reading and writing skills; follow written directions.
• Proficient in math; able to interpret technical material.
• Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety protocols and guidelines.
• Read, interpret, and follow detailed work instructions.
• Operate torque tools, electric drivers, hand tools and optical equipment.
• Maintain high quality workmanship and lean manufacturing standards.
• Keep workspace clean and follow 6S routines.
• Perform soldering and some electronic assembly tasks.
• Identify and correct lens debris or aberrations.
• Conduct quality inspections and spot defects.
• Operate robotic equipment and adhesive dispensers.
