Aerotek seeks an Assembly Associate in Oak Ridge, TN. This full-time contract-to-hire role involves assembling components and finished products, performing quality checks, and ensuring compliance with safety standards in a clean, partially climate-controlled machine shop.

Ideal for detail-oriented individuals with strong manual dexterity who thrive in a fast-paced, team-based environment. You will use hand and power tools, follow blueprints, and participate in training on first and second shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or assembly environment preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, including shifts up to 10 hours.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and consistently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for precise assembly work.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components, sub-assemblies, and final products by following established blueprints, technical drawings, and written work instructions.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and automated manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently to complete assembly tasks.
• Perform regular quality checks on parts and finished products to verify they meet specifications and to identify defects or inconsistencies.
• Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE, and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily and weekly production goals while communicating any equipment or quality issues to supervisors promptly.
• Package finished goods and prepare them for shipment when needed, ensuring products are properly labeled and secured.
• Participate in required training, including initial training on first shift for 24 weeks when assigned to second shift.
• Support different areas of the facility as needed, providing assistance where hand and power tool skills are required.
