Job summary

Epiroc USA LLC is seeking an Assembler to operate and maintain assembly equipment safely and efficiently at our Ooltewah, TN site. You will read work orders, blueprints, and assembly instructions, assemble components, verify parts, and contribute to quality and inventory records.

The role requires reading tapes and blueprints, 2+ years in heavy-duty manufacturing, and strong problem-solving and communication skills. We offer competitive benefits and an onsite work environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience in heavy duty machining/manufacturing.
• Ability to read tape measure and blueprints.
• Ability to read and understand work order routings and instructions.
• Excellent critical thinking, communication, problem solving skills and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, drawings, and assembly instructions to complete tasks.
• Use hand tools and basic equipment to assemble components safely.
• Gather, count, and verify parts and materials for production jobs.
• Prepare kits by organizing and staging components according to production requirements.
• Verify part numbers, quantities, and materials for accuracy before assembly or kit release.
• Perform visual inspections of components and finished assemblies for defects or discrepancies.
• Maintain accuracy in repetitive tasks in a fast-paced production environment.
• Complete production, quality, and inventory documentation accurately and timely.
• Report material shortages, damaged parts, or quality concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Follow established work instructions and standardized processes for consistency and quality.
• Assist with inventory accuracy through cycle counts and material audits.
• Maintain organization of parts, materials, and work areas using 5S or other methods.
• Meet daily production and quality goals with attention to detail.
• Other duties as assigned
