Job summary

Aerotek is seeking an PO3 Assembler for a contract-to-hire role in Wheeling, IL. You will assemble products using hand and power tools, following detailed instructions and blueprints, while maintaining accurate production records and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience assembling products with hand and power tools.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions, diagrams and blueprints.
• Maintain accurate production and quality records.

Responsibilities

• Operate tools, equipment, and assembly processes following work instructions and SOPs.
• Assist in creating or refining work instructions when needed.
• Adhere to quality policies and customer specifications.
• Monitor personal output to meet quality requirements and escalate issues.
• Maintain timekeeping, labor tracking, and inventory records.
• Complete process documentation and scrap reports timely.
• Support safety, cleanliness, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Generate ideas to address assembly process challenges.
• Stay current on certifications and training; complete tasks on time.
• Manage workload to meet production schedules.
• Train teammates on assembly tasks when assigned.
• Adapt to changing priorities and product requirements.
• Work independently and in cross-functional teams; use systems to access instructions and record data.
