Job summary

Aerotek is seeking an entry level assembler for a 1st shift on-site role in Knoxville, TN. You will build vehicle bodies and subassemblies by following blueprints, performing mechanical and electrical assembly, decaling, masking, and installation work in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities include reading instructions, using hand and power tools, and ensuring parts meet dimensions. Lifting up to 30 lbs and standing for long periods are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical and electrical assembly in a production environment.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints or work instructions.
• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
• Comfort on a fast-paced assembly line.
• Basic wiring/installation skills.
• Stamina to lift up to 30 lbs and stand/move for long periods.
• Attention to detail to ensure proper fit and function.

Responsibilities

• Assemble pre-fabricated parts using blueprints or work instructions.
• Perform decaling, masking, and fitting components.
• Assemble walls, frames, cabs, doors, and subassemblies.
• Bolt and rivet components; prepare for body welding.
• Conduct mechanical and electrical assembly tasks with safety in mind.
• Operate and maintain hand and power tools.
• Read tape measures to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Maintain production flow and meet takt time requirements.
• Work on a loud, fast-paced line with team leads.
