Aerotek in Lenexa, KS is seeking an Assembler to join a climate-controlled manufacturing setting. You will perform repetitive assembly on production lines, operate a variety of hand and power tools, and ensure units meet specifications.

This role emphasizes safety, attendance, and teamwork, with a path from temporary to permanent employment. The position runs a 4-day workweek on a daytime shift, with frequent opportunities to contribute to process improvements and quality control.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with mechanical assemblies and components.
• Good hand dexterity for precise and repetitive assembly tasks.
• Ability to stand and work on your feet for 10-hour shifts.
• Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
• Consistent, on-time attendance and reliability.
• Commitment to using required safety equipment, including safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.
• Ability to work effectively in a production assembly environment and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform repetitive assembly operations on a production line or workbench to build complete units or subassemblies.
• Assemble fan components using hand tools, pneumatic tools, electric tools, and fixtures according to instructions and specifications.
• Follow detailed written and verbal work instructions to complete assignments accurately and efficiently.
• Rotate between different tasks and workstations as required by the production schedule.
• Test and inspect assembled units to ensure they meet engineering specifications and quality standards.
• Package finished units for shipment, including boxing, wrapping, and securing products as specified.
• Place packaged units on pallets in the correct configuration to prepare them for storage or shipment.
• Operate drill presses, punch presses, riveting machines, FG sealing machines, staple guns, nail guns, and similar equipment to support assembly operations.
• Support process improvement efforts by following standardized procedures and identifying opportunities to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
