Job summary

Express Employment Professionals in Lenexa, KS is seeking an Assembly Technician I to assemble components on a production line using hand and powered tools. This position requires safety-conscious, dependable candidates.

Under supervision of the Manufacturing Supervisor, duties include following work instructions, operating equipment such as drill presses and riveting machines, and ensuring quality standards. The role offers first shift hours Monday–Thursday 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of assembly experience required; 1 year of assembly experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform repetitive assembly operations.
• Assemble fan components using hand, pneumatic, and electric tools and fixtures.
• Follow detailed written and verbal work instructions.
• Consistently use required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.
• Assist in maintaining housekeeping and cleanliness standards throughout the work area.
• Affix labels and identification markings to finished products.
• Test and inspect completed units to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and quality standards.
• Package finished products for shipment and place materials on pallets as required.
• Operate equipment such as drill presses, punch presses, riveting machines, sealing machines, staple guns, and nail guns to support assembly operations.
• Perform various production tasks as needed to meet manufacturing schedules.
• Maintain reliable attendance and adherence to all company safety requirements.
