Job summary

Shape Technologies Group in Baxter Springs, KS is seeking 1st shift assemblers to build waterjet components at a climate-controlled facility. Starting pay is $17.00 per hour with a 7:00 AM–3:30 PM Monday–Thursday schedule and 6:00 AM–2:30 PM on Fridays.

You will read blueprints, use hand and power tools, inspect assemblies, and collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams. A HS diploma or GED is required; manufacturing experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prev manufacturing/assembly experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to read blueprints and assembly instructions is a plus.
• Experience using hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Assemble waterjet components, including valves, hydraulic cylinders, pumps, and completed units according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, and work instructions.
• Use hand tools, power tools, torque equipment, and measuring devices to complete assemblies.
• Inspect and test completed assemblies to verify quality and functionality.
• Identify and report quality concerns or assembly issues.
• Work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to support manufacturing goals.
• Maintain accurate assembly and production records.
• Follow all safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods during the workday.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, twist, reach, and perform repetitive tasks.

• Ability to safely work with tools and manufacturing equipment.
