Job summary

Engtal is seeking an experienced Slitting Operator to set up and run aluminum coil slitting lines in Indiana. You will adjust blades, spacers, tension, and speeds to meet customer specifications, load and unload coils on uncoilers and recoilers, and inspect finished material for quality.

Qualifications

• Experience operating slitting machines or coil-processing equipment.
• Experience with aluminum or other metal coils.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Basic math skills including fractions to decimals.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate slitting equipment to cut aluminum coils to spec.
• Adjust blades, spacers, tension, and speeds per production needs.
• Load, control, and remove coils on uncoilers/recoilers.
• Inspect material width, burrs, edge quality and surface.
• Use measuring tools to verify specs.
• Perform blade changes and routine maintenance.
• Follow safety procedures and document downtime.
