AEROKOOL AVIATION CORPOR ATION is seeking an experienced welder to perform precision TIG/GTAW and MIG/GMAW welding for aerospace components. The role requires reading engineering drawings, following weld symbols, and maintaining tight tolerances to meet AS9100 and FAA requirements.

The ideal candidate will have aerospace or regulated welding experience, proficiency in welding procedures, and the ability to pass qualification tests while maintaining traceability and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in TIG/GTAW welding; additional processes may be required.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols.
  • Strong understanding of welding procedures, metallurgy, heat control, and distortion.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
  • Able to pass required welding qualification tests.

Responsibilities

  • Perform precision TIG/GTAW, MIG/GMAW, or other approved welding processes on aerospace components.
  • Weld aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, nickel alloys.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and weld symbols.
  • Set up welding equipment and adjust parameters as needed.
  • Maintain weld quality, dimensions, tolerances, and structural integrity.
  • Inspect welds and document workmanship; follow quality requirements.
